Another round of arrests is under way at Legislative Plaza, where just after midnight some 20 Occupy Nashville protesters linked arms, awaiting arrest in violation of the Capitol’s newly enacted curfew. A 10-minute warning was issued at approximately midnight, and some 60 to 75 Tennessee state troopers stood ready to enforce it.
Among those under arrest is evidently Scene reporter Jonathan Meador, who has been covering the protests. A fellow reporter asked the trooper arresting Meador if he really intended to lock up a journalist there to cover the events. According to the reporter, the trooper replied, “You want to be next?”

Stop Occupy Nashville from being evicted at 8CST this evening by the State of Tennessee.
They have been given notice that they must vacate the peoples legislative plaza by 8pm

Happy Birthday, Tim Kelleher.
As Noele has told me, that was the day he had to make the choice he wasn’t going to be with Mars on the road after that year (but thank god he came back to help in 2011) so he was kind of poopy. When he saw this card that you all helped me make (on the American Echelon twitter), you have no idea how his eyes lit up. He was fucking stoked and you all, his supporters, helped with that.

It was the only smile on his face that entire day. There were a few of us wearing MDM shirts which caused him more grief I later learned but the card really did it for him.

The MDM fanpage is on Myspace. The girl that makes the shirts lives in Ireland. She might have some.. I am trying to get a long sleeve one. Or a hoody
I checked the band’s page but didn’t know it was sold by a fanpage. If you have her contact info, could you send it to me? The t-shirts are kickin but a hoodie would be even better. Hoodies just rule at life, anyway.
